CAROLINA PAGANO – FALL 2009

Like jewelry for your feet, the Carolina Pagano Collection introduces Fall 2009 with a flash, a flash of gold that is. Inspired by the exotic fauna and natural beauty of Brazil, designer Carolina Sadowski showcases an array of handmade flats and multiple-height heels, featuring details and embellishments of bronze, gold and semi-precious stones.

Merging elements from such a rich environment, the designer created an elegant color palette of carefully chosen neutrals – coffee, black, hazelnut and cement – punctuated by exuberant colors like butterscotch, deep blue and terra cotta, in the most diverse materials, ranging from suede to calf hair, from patent leather to python embossed calf.

Fall 09 silhouettes are sexy and innovative. Influenced by the captivating beauty of the country she once called home, Carolina presents intricate flats, mid heel shoes adorned with semi-precious stones, and sexy high heels and boots in this season's novelty item: hand carved leather.

This unique product, developed in partnership with a Brazilian artist, is part of Carolina Pagano's Couture Leather group, where each piece of leather is carefully hand carved to create texture and pattern. For Fall, the designer presents a "zebra" calf hair, hand woven calf and a gold "fish scale" leather. Such extraordinary work gives a twist to classic ballerinas, embellishes high heel sandals and adorns pumps and boots.

"I wanted to create a sophisticated and exciting collection", says Carolina Sadowski. "To each pair, I added details like trims made of bronze leather, semi-precious stones and specially made leathers. Something that makes a woman look at her feet and simply smile, the way you admire a beautiful piece of jewelry."
